julia lund, a graduate student in psychology, was traumatized by some nightmares she had during her childhood. she is obsessed by the fact that the fears of when she was a child could suddenly materialize and that the monsters that appeared to her as a child in the dark prove to be real. just on the eve of graduation, julia receives a mysterious phone call from ex-boyfriend billy who tells her he can't sleep because of monstrous dreams.
