evolution (2001)

a meteorite falls into the arteria desert. two eccentric scientists are beginning to investigate his nature: biologist ira kane, who once worked for the government, but now has finished teaching in college, and geologist harry block, also a teacher, but much more interested in to train the female team of the school than to the nature of the earth. together the two make a sensational discovery: the meteorite contains alien unicellular creatures in rapid evolution. in the area where it fell, in fact, a real alien ecosystem is being created, with gigantic, sprawling and cannibal vegetation, monstrous animals and ferocious primates.
