stanlio and ollio are in the west to look for a girl to deliver the certificate of ownership of a mine left by the deceased father. the saloon owner, sniffing the gold, passes his wife through the orphan and takes possession of the document. but laurel and hardy discover that the girl they are looking for is the saloon's servant and they are able to recover the stolen document by completing their mission in the best way.
