caterina dupré murdered her husband by exchanging two vials in a medicine box. all the evidence, however, nailed gina, the nurse, who among other things had also been the lover of the deceased and is now the universal heir according to the false testament written by caterina. the lawyer cassidi, who defends the latter's interests, manages to convict the nurse, but to the judge gaudet doubts arise.
