over the course of a weekend, the lives of different people caught in a key moment of their existence intersect: a dissatisfied middle-class, a hostess in search of motherhood with an immature husband, a frustrated jazz musician, a newly fired surveyor and a professor of philosophy whose loneliness is broken by the encounter with a woman.
