la corda d'acciaio (1954)

marcella, the daughter of a trapeze artist, unfortunately tries her mother's footsteps, but an accident forces her to abandon her career. finished in a boarding school (her mother, a widow, lives with a man who then abandons her) the girl is paralyzed because of a new, serious accident. his mother goes back to the trapeze to treat her, but she would risk dying if her regretful lover did not intervene. the two join permanently and the girl heals.
