la buona fortuna (1944)

the mechanic mario works in the garage of giuseppe, who also trades in stolen pieces of cars. one evening mario takes over the machine of an industrialist and almost invests rita, who is bringing linen to the marchesa pancrazi. the young man faints and mario helps her, then, fearing complications, he abandons the car and flees to the city. meanwhile, near the abandoned car, there is a small wooden house built by matteo, an old man who goes around selling the planets of fortune. rita also helps him secretly hoping for the return of the young investor. and indeed it is so. the car owner, who takes the two young men well, buys the land on which the house stands and gives it to him. meanwhile matteo has disappeared, but he has left two planets of good luck to the young.
