due milioni per un sorriso (1939)

an italian industrialist who made his fortune in america, seized by nostalgia, liquidates everything and returns to italy. here he is persuaded to finance a film that recalls his past and his youthful love, since he can't find the woman he once loved. during the research to find the protagonist of the film, the director falls in love with a typist and makes her debut in the film. when the shooting was over, the industrialist who was a producer, satisfied with his work, decided to go back to america after a conspicuous donation to the two boyfriends.
