white oleander (2002)

ingrid is a famous painter who, prey to a crisis of jealousy, kills her former lover with an unusual method: a poisonous infusion of white oleander. a few days later the crime ingrid is arrested and so her daughter astrid ends up being at the mercy of social workers who will force her into a long, painful and often humiliating series of fights that will make her feel even stronger, sometimes morbid, with her mother.
