troy (2004)

in ancient greece, the passion between the two most legendary lovers of history, paride prince of troy and elena queen of sparta, unleashes a war that will destroy a civilization. when paride subtracts elena from her husband, king menelaus, he offends that it cannot be tolerated. the pride of the family must be avenged and it will be agamemnon, the powerful king of mycenae, who will do it, summoning all the tribes of greece to go and take elena back to troy. actually agamemnon is not only driven by the desire to defend his brother's honor, but also by his enormous greed, he wants to conquer troy to ensure the supremacy of his already vast empire. the city, surrounded by mighty walls, is governed by king priam and defended by the strong prince ettore, and no army has ever managed to penetrate it. only one man can achieve victory and defeat troy, achilles, the greatest warrior of all time. arrogant, rebellious and apparently invincible, achilles is not devoted to anyone or anything, he just wants glory. it is his insatiable thirst for fame that leads him to attack troy under agamemnon's flags, but it will finally be the love that will decide his destiny.
