in an eastern european village, during the second world war, the news spread that in the neighboring countries the nazis are killing and deporting jews to unknown destinations. the inhabitants decide to flee by adopting a very risky stratagem: some of them will disguise themselves as nazis and, pretending that their countrymen are the deportees, will fly a train to more peaceful nations.
