The Squid and the Whale (2005)

bernard berkman was destined for a brilliant future as a writer, but to keep the family going he had to fall back on teaching. when his wife joan discovers that she has a great talent as a writer herself, the couple goes into crisis and divorce appears to be the only possible solution to their problems. it will be the children walt and frank who will come out of this experience traumatized and disillusioned with marriage.
