in a remote swamp the serene solitude of the ogre shrek is upset by an invasion of fairy tale characters: the three little pigs, snow white and the seven dwarfs, cinderella, pinocchio. they have all been banished from the kingdom by the evil lord farquaad. determined to get rid of intruders, shrek commits on behalf of farquaad to free the beautiful princess fiona prisoner of a dragon. in the company follows the donkey talking donkey.
