mulan (1998)

at the threat of invasion by the huns, the chinese emperor orders each family to send a man to fight in the army. mulan, the only daughter of the fa family, decides to enlist to save her elderly and sick father. he carefully disguises himself, trains as he can and performs true acts of heroism. she will be able to keep her true identity hidden until a wound forces her to reveal herself.
