Poster of movie Mi piace lavorare (Mobbing)
the company in which anna, a third-level secretary, works has been bought by a multinational company. on the day of the company party to celebrate the merger, anna is the only one of all employees not to be spontaneously greeted by the new personnel manager. a trivial accident, or maybe just an oversight. this small event is the first sign of a process that will become a real ordeal for her. slowly, but inexorably, the 'group' unleashes against her. the harassment begins, small, invisible, but repeated. anna is left alone at the table in the company canteen, no one invites her to have coffee in the morning, her job is 'inadvertently' occupied. anna is a lonely, divorced woman with a daughter, morgana. they are very united and supportive, they have learned to get by on their own, to support themselves. a widespread sense of precariousness pervades their lives. meanwhile, the company constantly changes her duties, forcing her to go back all the stages on which she had based her self-esteem, and dismantles them. anna stays for hours and hours beside a photocopier, doing nothing. his attempts to recover a useful role are humiliated and he is sent to monitor the work of the workers in the warehouses, according to a business logic of putting one against the other. anna no longer holds up, and finally bursts: nervous exhaustion, illness. he no longer takes care of morgana, but it will be his daughter who will stand by her and save her. anna finds courage and decides to tell someone her story and not be alone anymore.
