la donna del peccato (1942)

a shady adventurer plagiarizes his wife to steal the plans of an important invention from an engineer whom the woman met on the train and who, believing her unmarried, fell in love with her and even proposed marrying him. the woman is not insensitive to this affection, also because she became aware that her husband is a bigamist and the marriage was invalid. in a moment of desperation the woman attempts suicide, but is saved in time by the engineer who, in the meantime, has sent the adventurer's plans down.
