la contessa di parma (1937)

a model of a luxury fashion house in turin is introduced into worldly environments to show the models of the company, with the pseudonym 'contessa di parma'. deceit is at its center, many people from different walks of life begin to woo it, including a football player to whom the woman is not insensitive. the two fall in love, he believes her really titled, she doesn't have the courage to tell him the truth and the idyll goes on, until a misunderstanding stops him. a rich aunt of the soccer player who took over the fashion house takes to wanting the girl, without being aware of the bond between her and her nephew; after a show the two lovers make peace.
