la città si difende (1951)

four occasional bandits (an unsuccessful painter, an unemployed worker, a footballer ended up in an accident and an exalted young man) rob a stadium chest. they will not get away with it: the player will be arrested because he was betrayed by his lover; the worker will be unmasked due to his quarrel with a tram and he will die suicidal; the painter will be killed by the owner of a boat with which he tried to escape abroad and the last of the four will be arrested after a spectacular attempt to take his own life.
