la chiamavan capinera (1957)

a girl who lives together with other guitti and earns her bread by singing in village festivals, ends up in the house of a famous baritone and falls in love with her son. out of jealousy one of his companions slanders her and she, desperate, leaves. left alone, the young woman wanders along, then, realizing that she is at the end of her days, decides to go and die in the baritone's house, where she lived a brief period of happiness.
