The Eternal Chain (1952)

walter, a naval officer, falls in love with his brother sandro's girlfriend, who is also coveted by the ship's owner on whom he serves. the latter tries to rape the girl, sandro kills him, but walter is accused of the crime, fleeing and enlisting in the foreign legion. years later walter finds his brother who betrays him by denouncing him, but dies in an accident. the former officer finds the girl, who has had a child from their brief relationship, and joins her.
