l'amor mio non muore (1938)

an emigrant who made his fortune returns to italy with the sole desire to find the beloved girl so long ago and be able to marry her. he then turns to a self-styled private policeman, but every search is useless, until one evening, casually, he finds himself in front of the woman, who does not recognize him. but he finds it spoiled by a life of hardship and with three children. the man then moves away carrying in his heart the broken dream of a love of many, many years before.
