johnny tremain (1957)

boston, 1773: in difficulty due to an accident at hand immediately at work, johnny tremain would like to enlist but is unjustly accused of theft by an english sympathizer. acquitted and freed, he is welcomed with open arms by the american revolutionary troops just in time for the famous act of insubordination called 'boston tea party'. later, despite the efforts of general gage to avoid conflict, the struggle leads to the battle of lexington.
