The Fish in Love (1999)

arturo vannini, a thirty-year-old carpenter with considerable imagination, at the age of ten he wrote a children's story: 'the fish in love', which manages to get the daughter of the publisher benincasa to read. suddenly he finds himself acclaimed bestseller writer, engaged in grueling promotional tours organized by avid benincasa. during one of these tours he meets matilde, who by chance spends a night in a suite. it is love at first sight, but matilde is married and the promotions absorb arturo. until, fed up with so much stress, he retires to a small house in the woods with his friend primo. and one day matilde returns, with a baby in her arms.
