a young man of rich family should, according to his father's intentions, marry the daughter of an equally wealthy lady. the young man, however, falls in love with another and marries her, knowing he loses all his family's good. in the end, after a serious accident that threatens to endanger the baby's life, the father changes his mind and forgives his son.
