Hedwig and the Angry Inch (2001)

post-punk sentimental and musical neo-glam-rock odyssey of the aspiring diva hedwig, hansel at the registry office, a boy who grew up with his mother in democratic germany before undergoing an unsuccessful operation to change sex and reach america in search successfull. when seventeen-year-old tommy will steal her songs and fame and break her heart, the bitter hedwig will make ends meet singing her sad story to clients of small restaurants scattered around the united states.
