gatta ci cova (1937)

the half-sister of a wealthy sicilian landowner no longer young, advised by astute lawyers, tries to extract the donation of all his properties. when the poor man becomes aware of the pitfall, he came to know article 1083 of the civil code, that is, what concerns possible adoptions or legitimations of a child, marries the house servant, who became pregnant with a young man who died in a car accident, thus rendering the legal act of donation useless. unfortunately the child is born dead and the desperate man is about to leave when, unexpectedly, the news arrives that the birth was twin and the second child was born alive. with the marriage and the recognition of the child, the man regains all his properties by liquidating the raptor half-sister.
