jimmy bly is a talented young driver who is slipping down the table crushed by the pressure of his ambitious brother and promoter and the relationship he is experiencing with his opponent's girlfriend. to put jimmy back on track, joe tanto arrives, a former champion whose promising career was abruptly interrupted by a tragic accident that threatened to kill him. but to bring the boy to victory tanto will have to rework his painful past and reopen old emotional scars.
