difendo il mio amore (1956)

an unscrupulous journalist does not hesitate to resurrect an old crime story, solely to increase the circulation of his modest newspaper. the resulting clamor upsets the life of the protagonist of that by now forgotten story. when the scandal is about to end in tragedy, a wise colleague dismisses the journalist from the editorial office.
