destino (1951)

the contrast to blackberries between a marina officer and a girl leads to tragedy. forced by her father to leave him, although the two have a daughter, elena is involved in the murder of the young man, killed by a jealous lover, and ends up in jail. meanwhile, the little daughter remains blind. the mother, almost to rebel against an adverse destiny, gives her the eyes with a supreme act of love.
