d.o.a.: dead on arrival (1988)

dexter is a young professor and a failed writer. he realizes he has been poisoned and, helped by his pupil sydney, tries to survive to find out who wants to kill him and why. he discovers some things about his ex-wife's love life and runs into a murky chain of passions and revenge. unfortunately it only has a few hours to reach the key to the enigma.
