colpi di timone (1942)

an elderly genoese shipowner to whom a doctor has diagnosed an incurable disease, he clings fervently at every moment of his day to work and to try to live well the last days he has left. taken by irresistible boldness, he takes the opportunity to come to terms with everyone and, especially, with the corrupt members of an assembly of shipowners and unmask the sinister intrigues of which he is aware. he even comes to accept a challenge to a duel, but just when he is getting ready to do so, the doctor arrives declaring candidly to him that he has made a mistake, exchanging his x-rays and then diagnosis and that he is as healthy as a fish. fortunately for the old sea dog everything is fine.
