Chocolat (2000)

a woman and her daughter arrive in a small french town with the intention of opening a chocolate shop. the local inhabitants, bigots and fundamentalists, are initially hostile and very suspicious, so much so that the new store is an offense to morality, not to mention that the owner's daughter is illegitimate. the arrival of a group of gypsies who sympathize with the two chocolatiers does not make it easier to improve relations with the villagers.
