an american billionaire meets a young hotel operator in hungary and falls in love with him. knowing that she is engaged, she offers her sweetheart a prize of one hundred thousand dollars if she agrees to have dinner with him one night. dinner takes place, but the girl, fearing to be ill-regarded by the american, rips the check. the next morning the girl goes to the town hall for the wedding but the billionaire breaks into the room and, between the dismay of the relatives and the promised bridegroom, runs away with the pretty girl.
