carcerato (1951)

renato leaves for argentina to make a fortune, leaving his girlfriend in naples. the girl, who lives with her father and stepmother, realizes she is pregnant. her boyfriend does not receive any news (in fact he writes, but the letters are stolen from his former employer who wants to become the woman's lover) and therefore, with the death of his father, he goes to live alone. she accepts a job from marco, the beau who hides her letters, forced by force (the coward has kidnapped her daughter in the meantime come into the world). renato returns, discovers everything and confronts marco who dies from a pistol shot exploded by himself. fortunately the truth comes to the surface and the two young people can live peacefully.
