cantico della terra (1935)

in a village in the roman countryside, a young shepherd falls in love with the daughter of a wealthy farmer and the two weave a relationship. when the man accidentally falls into a ravine and is believed to be dead, the girl confesses everything to her parents who drive her out of the house. but the shepherd is safe and presents himself at the home of the parents who grant their permission to the longed-for marriage.
