bellissima (1951)

magdalene dreams of a future in the cinema for her little daughter. the occasion presents itself when the director blasetti looks for a child for his film. maddalena, with many other mothers, shows up at cinecittà for the audition. here he meets characters of all kinds who ruin her existence. in the end little maria will play the part, but the mother will find the strength and courage to refuse and return, embittered but more mature, in her much cleaner world.
