the four feathers (2002)

in 1875 harry feversham is a young man admired by all as one of the best soldiers in his regiment. in love with his beautiful girlfriend ethne, he has a promising future in the army, but when the sudanese rebels attack an english fortress in khartoum and his regiment is sent to north africa, harry resigns. his father, a general, repudiates him, while three of his friends and his girlfriend each send him a white feather, a symbol of cowardice. but when he learns that his companions are heavily attacked by enemies, harry overcomes all uncertainty, disguises himself as an arab and penetrates enemy lines to save his friends.
