Rosa e Cornelia (2000)

the destinies of rosa and cornelia, the poor scullery and the rich noblewoman, meet in an 18th century venice carnival. cornelia's parents are upset by her guilty pregnancy and, to avoid compromising scandals, they instruct rosa to remove the child as soon as she is born. the forced cohabitation of the two girls and the sharing of a unique experience like motherhood (even rosa is pregnant) gives rise to a very intimate and special feeling between them that transcends social inequalities.
