la grande guerra (1959)

wwi. the destiny unites two soldiers: the roman oreste jacovacci and the milanese giovanni busacca, both slackers and cowards. thrown into the drama of a war that they did not want and do not understand, the two do everything to remain outside, but are fatally involved in events that engulf them. they will end up shot, but theirs, more than an act of heroism, seems to be yet another attempt to escape from something.
