io, suo padre (1939)

a former boxer trains his son and leads him to win the italian championship in the middleweight category. the boy, having his head on, goes to bad company and falls easily into the grip of a fatalona: so he renounces the sport to be near her in luxurious homes and where it is easy to spend the hard-earned money. after some time, he finally opens his eyes to this illusory reality, he becomes aware that it is a world that does not belong to him and, back home, under the loving guidance of his father, he resumes sports training.
