carmelo and salvatore lamarca founded the trinacria cinematografica production company in the 1950s. sailing in bad waters, in order to stay afloat, the two wicked producers, in response to the terrible cagliostro played by orson welles in 1949, embark on the disastrous realization of 'il ritorno di cagliostro', focusing on a famous hollywood actor destroyed by alcohol and seeking redemption.
