eravamo sette vedove (1939)

a luxury steamer, cruising in the southern seas, shipwrecked and on a lifeboat they manage to embark seven ladies, an elderly lawyer and the ship's waiter. after a night of navigation they land on a deserted island, already inhabited by the husband of the most elderly lady. meanwhile another island arrives on the island with the six husbands of the other six women and so the families can recover, while the lawyer, among other unrepentant bachelor, suffers from the blackest loneliness due to his selfishness. and he begins to spend his days scanning the horizon, hoping that a possible unmarried shipwreck will come.
