a young employee of a company appropriates a large sum of money which he then loses in an incorrect speculation. the young man's sister, having learned of the fact, asks her fiancé for the sum on loan, but in vain; he then goes to the head of the company, an engineer, to tell him the truth, but without finding the courage to reveal to him what is bothering her. attracted by the girl, the engineer gradually falls in love with her and asks her to marry him, but when he learns of the shortage in the cashier and the existence of a boyfriend, he retires with a good order, deciding to leave for a certain period. the girl tracks him down and the comon that he too loves him and did not want to abuse his good faith. things work out for the best.
